Awards & Grants
NFID presents annual awards to outstanding individuals who have made significant and lasting contributions to the health of society through scientific achievement, public health, philanthropy, or legislation.
Nominations for the 2015 NFID Awards must be submitted online by no later than May 1, 2014. All nominations must include a letter with a detailed description of nominee’s accomplishments, a seconding letter in support of the nomination, a brief citation explaining how nominee’s accomplishments or achievements have made a contribution to public health, and the nominee’s CV and biography.
Nominees must be living at the time of nomination. Recipient must attend the awards gala to receive the award. Current members of the NFID Board of Directors are ineligible for award nomination.
NFID, in partnership with the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA), sponsors the IDSA ERF/NFID Joint Research Awards program that provides grants and fellowships to promising young researchers.
